So Happy to put a face to the name business
If you’ve ever said, “no, please, I hate being on camera,” this blog is for you.

It’s time to leave our ‘90s and early-2000’s body image trauma in the past, and it’s time to introduce ourselves to our loyal and prospective customers.
Trust me when I say this: they want to know you!
When you share yourself with your customers, you make business personal. Not literally – we’re still keeping a healthy line. But you can shift the consumer/provider relationship to at least feel more like a friendship for your customers. And by doing that, you start to build trust.
People want to know who they’re doing business with. Think about it…who would you rather get your clothes from? Your friend who you know and trust or a big box store who you can’t even name the CEO of?
Plus, you might be surprised how excited people will be when they start to learn more about the person behind a business they’ve heard about.
And, this may come as a shock, but they really don’t care what you look like. (There are a few exceptions to this rule, if I’m being honest, but if that’s you, we can chat about it!)
Whether you want to start small or dive all-in is up to you. But if you’re saying, “I could never be that personal, my customers are too professional for that,” I beg to differ.
I’m not saying you have to get on TikTok and film a GRWM storytime about that one month in high school when you had an embarrassingly huge crush on the lead in that year’s musical.
Your personal sharing – like all of your content – should be tailored to your target customer base. That means it should fit their tone and be appropriate for your industry.
If you don’t know where to start, here are a few questions you can answer:
When did you come up with your business idea?
How do you relax after a stressful day of work?
What is something you do for your business that we have no idea you’re responsible for?
What’s your favorite part of the job?
Now, all you have to do is answer them – and maybe get in front of a camera?
You got this!
